Latino vs Black, what’s up with that

A fellow blogger and the owner of Rainbow Cafe made me aware of the linked story. It appears that Latino gang members are killing black citizens in hate induced crimes. What is the purpose, the article points that these thugs generaly do not like blacks. I wonder do they like themselves, how about God, how about white folks? What is the Police going to do.

Latino and black leadership could change the course of this nation if we could unite. Divide and conquer has long been a strategy of controlling blacks. Make sure we never respect each enough to build a coalition of thought leaders and doers. This type of crime is about a rejected class looking for some one else to hate. White society dislikes  the influx of Latinos even more that they do us. The gang members want to be the White man’s equal in a sick way and must feel hating blacks is a way to have common interest.

This hate will end up badly for all without some intervention. We have gangs and killers in the black community also. Let’s stop the violence. We have a lot to gain from each other

Jim, what a powerful post that could help us move in a direction that more could win! Thanks for the leadership you bring to these issues. I wrote a plan that might add 2-bits more to your amazing insights also at http://www.brainbasedbusiness.com/2006/07/marks_of_a_brain_based_peace_p.html

    Great post!

You ask a good question, Jim, “I wonder do they [thugs] like themselves.” Fact is they probably do not. People who are happy inside do not commit such acts. One of the reasons they do is that they blame others rather than finding a way to content within. Most have suffered violence themselves and do not know how to break this cycle. Jim, we begin with forgiveness, though it is hard and then we forge the path to find common ground together. Thanks for your very introspective comment given your own exeriences. Shows the kind of person you are.

Ellen, I read your post and strongly urge every one to read it. It provides scientific reasoning for our actions and feelings. Thank you for your comment

Jim, when you question whether these young thugs like themselves, you have put your finger on the pulse of the problem. If a person is content inside, he or she is not trying to get the better of others or to prove themselves. Much has to be done to help people with such deep-seated problems to find real purpose in life. Jim, I sense you are one of the folks making a real difference and my hat goes off to you.

Robyn great job in taking emotion out and finding the root of the problem. We are all God’s children and love is the key. Thank you for the comments
