Political Grind Networks
I am excited regarding my membership in the Political Grind Networks. This is a network of bloggers who have interest in politics and write about certain aspects of it. My topics are black related and mostly in the US, although international issues will be discussed as well. I will introduce you to other members over the next couple of weeks and link you to their blog.
What dose politics have to do with blackinbusiness? Everything! The 1965 voters right act provided us the right to vote as black people without discrimination. We use to have polling test and other methods were used to keep us from voting. The civil rights era was in part effective because of political awareness.
We are no longer wanting to just sit in the front of the bus, or use the same water fountain. We want small business loans, money for college, continuation of affirmative action. We have a brother with a chance to become President of the Unitied States. We must know the issues and have a voice.
I came accross the Political Grind, a member of the Political Grind Network. This is a blog of bipartsian potitics. Today I read and commented on a compelling post, “support our troops.” Stop by and you will find some post of interest and topics that are easy to debate. See the links below. You will also find links to the network and the voting rights act. Keep Hope Alive!

And when all the people saw it, they gave praise
to God. FaithWorks, Be Blessed always! Jesus is
the Christ, the Son of the living God. Until we
all attain to the unity of the faith, and the
knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to
the measure of the stature which belongs to the
fullness of Christ. In love, Be Blessed Everyone
so the world will know that God did send Our Lord
Jesus Christ the eternal life in God Our Father.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! So faith comes
by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.
You must be born again! Jesus said in Our Bible.
Be Blessed always! a child of God
Love ye one another, Amen!

And we should cherish that hard-earned right to vote by informing ourselves about the candidates and the issues!

Great point Tisha, it is a shame most of us, not just us being black, but all of us do not follow the issues. The US would have never given Bush the green light for war if we had studied the reasons for our attack and challenged Bush .

My basic belief is that both religion and politics are corrupt.
That having been said the American people were lulled into a complacency of their own choosing, they were fat and happy and the “problem” they were told was “over there”, they didn’t even bother to question it. Better there than here they thought.
Politics will always be about the politicians more than about the people. It is the job of the people to keep a lid on it.
Maybe now we will. Who knows.

I love this comment by Cooper.I was amazed at how we followed Bush into this mess in Iraq and even approved of our nation being a part of murder. The entire world was left startled when we re elected Bush.
