Whom Am I Blogging For
I have been tagged for a meme by a top blogger in the world and the author of a blog of compassion and learning, Kwiz,”Women Walking in Wisdoms Footsteps. http://www.wisdomwalking.net/
I am blogging for those that have an interest in debate and have an opinion regarding business success. My target is, for ordinary people wanting extraoridinary success. We debate black issues and issues affecting black life. I have recieved comment for people of all races and at times blog about business suggestions with no mention of race.
I am a black American and in our country, everything has to do with race. I am blessed to have life long friends of both black and white heritage. I try to use my life experiences to bring understanding how blacks in business can win. I hope debate on sensitive issues will in a small way lead to better understanding of each and more business opportunties.
In this country, we have barriers between us based on skin color. This barrier makes it hard for us to respect and trust each other. With out trust and respect business will suffer. Doesn’t it feel good when you meet a person of another race who seems to be happy with life and smiles and treats you like a human instead of dwelling on the difference of skin color. I hope together we can make a difference toward people of different races working together for a more productive society.
When I started blogging at the end of October 2006, My wish was to build a community of winners. I have not stirred away from controversy and this community continues to grow. We have close to 180 members of all races. Some very strong and well known white bloggers were among the first to endorse this blog. That says racism aside, there are white people that want to see more blacks in business.
The second part of this blog is your turn. Let me know, why do you visit blackinbusiness, what are your likes and dislikes, is this blog helpful toward generating debate, are the post helpful, what would you like to see more of, less of? Let me know I look forward to your feed back.
My turn to tag, Ashley, African American Opinion http://africanamericanopinion.com/
Caramelson, Young Black Professional Guide, http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/community/ybpguide/
Colinsu,chronic pain lifestyle http://jackbauerdeclassified.typepad.com/
I think you will enjoy these 3 blogs as I do and I look forward to their confessions. Thank you Kwiz

Hi Jim,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am honored you have that kind of regard for what I’m doing. I appreciate the encouragement.
I used to earn my living in corporate America, so it’s interesting to see what kind of issues people are still dealing with out there. You deal with a wide range of issues, and I like to see how you deal with them.
I like your header - it’s quite appropriate for the content on your blog. The theme is elegant, yet simple.
As you know, I am a teacher. One of the things that I always try to encourage my students in is proofreading well. I would like to encourage you in the spirit of love to make sure you proofread your posts really carefully, especially because of the audience to which you cater. I read at WritingThoughtsthat a good way to proofread your own material (when you don’t have someone to do it for you) is to read it aloud to yourself. As you want to see people succeed in business, I want the same for you. I believe wholeheartedly that this will help.
Thanks again, Jim. You’re doing the blogosphere a great service by being here.
Take care!

JD,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I visited here for the first time because you are a member of Political Grind- as am I.
I was thrilled to read you. You write succinctly and your points are clear.
It also happens that I agree with most of what you say, and hope to have time to fish through here a lot on the future, reading past posts.
Everyone wants to be successful in life as well as in business. I imagine that those not businessmen by nature could benefit greatly from this blog as well.

Kwiz, thanks for the feedback, proof reading is something I must do better. I am a teacher as well, I have never taught but have a degree in elementary education. I student taught 4th and 5th grades. Great kids, I enjoyed it so much when a child would work hard to learn something and experience that break out moment when they got it. Their grins would light up a room

Why do I visit Black in Business?
You write well and insightfully on topics I’m rarely exposed to these days. As a white guy living back in my native New Hampshire, I can go for days without seeing anyone who isn’t like me — white and probably originally from here. A big change from living in cosmopolitan cities in the past, for example in Hong Kong where I was a minority, although a well respected one (if you’re not Chinese, the police seem to avoid you! not the other way around).

Personally I visit for your business acumen and extensive experience, sort of like picking your brain.
I am always stimulated by your discussions!
We clearly do not share political and societal views, probably surprises you but that doesn’t stop me from looking at things from your perspective and learning from you.
Much success, well deserved!

I am not surprised of your views and outlook. A richness of life involves different outlooks. I have learned from blogging and from people that are different not the same. My opinions and outlook may seem one sided but in life I surround myself with all types. My friends are CEO’s, Congressmen, Ministers, carpenters, garbage men, small time gansters, unemployed, all races, all out looks on life and I learn from all. Thanks you for your support.
