Give Me That Sweet Soul Music
I love music! from Louis Armstrong to Biggie Smalls, From Ella to Macy Grey, from Chuck Berry to Prince, from Willie Nelson to Charlie Pride, you get the picture.
There was a music trend from the late 90’s called neo-soul, I loved it. Check out these names; Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, Maxwell, Jill Scott etc. Simon and Garfunkle asked where have you gone Joe Dimaggio, where have all these great artists gone.

The problem is that when Corporations took over the music industry, artist were no longer allowed to be creative and original and that is the whole basis of most of the artist of the neo-soul genre. They now see who is hot and try to make their own version of that sound and mass produce hopeing to get 3 or 4 million sales out of it and getting a product line of the artist.
The artist then is held in this type of music that he/she never really wanted to perform in the first place but what is an entertainer to do when all they dream of is performing?
The ones who fight this get put on the shelf never to be heard of again.
