Peace and Prosperity, no, War and Despair

Citibank lays off 17,000 employees. US will order 100,000 soilders to extend their duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over 3000 young soldiers dead, 25000 plus wounded, over 400 billion spent. What was I thinking when I referred to Peace and Prosperity, a Democratic President, Bill Clinton. Oh, another bit of news, nation’s house prices will drop for the first time since 1968. Many families are behind in their mortages and in danger of losing their homes. Bin Laden at large.
I wonder, how many of the 17,000 exCitibank empolyees voted for George Bush? How many of the military members, stuck in Iraq, voted for George Bush? How many families of dead soldiers, wasted lives, wounded and hospitilized in squalor, voted for George Bush? How many people with 2 mortages, running behind, in danger of losing their homes voted for George Bush? Yes it is all very tragic.
During poor economic times blacks suffer more than whites. We are last hired and the first fired. Our despair is not as bad as the Bush voters, we did not vote for him nor did we support this disaster of a war.I want to hear from some conservatives to explain why us blacks should stopped being used by the Democrats, and vote Republican in the next election. Keep in mind, we did well under Clinton-Gore. The link below will provide some very sad economic news on the Bush Presidency.

Well, I hate to do it to all my friends that voted for Bush but I told them. I told ya so. No good could have come from him being president, NONE!

  2. Dame Says:

Sometimes when I’m driving I see cars with the W symbol that was use during Bush’s re-election. I always want to pull those people over and ask “are you still happy with your vote?”. I’m sure most of them would say no.

Latimer, if you study the elections of our President since the 1965 voters rights act, which gave more civil rights to black Americans, the elections have been mostly divided by the war between the states. The Confederate states vote Republican and the Democratic votes follow the Union states. The same with the blue vs red states. A lot of poor whites have hurt themselves because they see the democrats as the black party. Their hate of black people is so strong, they vote Republican and have suffered.

Dame, the polls bear you true. The voice of the people was heard during the midterm elections.Bush is being displayed as one of the worst Presidents this country has ever had. What amazes me,is so many people blindly followed this man down the path to where we are today. I could not comprehend all the bad news yesterday.I think the W stands for what.

  5. David Greene Says:

The thing that amazes me is that with George Bush’s ratings of disapproval/approval running at about 70%/30% that means that about 30% of American voters still approve of this miserable failure of a president. Who are these people? To me, in light of where America is today under Bush’s “leadership”, it’s scary that there are still millions of supporters out there. Watch out for these folks. They are proof positive of the dumbing down of America and must be as delusional and uncaring of America’s standing in the world as Bush. We live in dangerous times with at least two more years of especially dangerous times to go.

  6. Jim Walton Says:

David, it is scary, they could be all around us, they could be our bosses. I understand racist supporting Bush and the very rich. I do not understand, Blacks and Latinos supporting Bush
