Coming to Chicago, SOBCON, May 12

My good friend Dr. Ellen Weber has tagged me to comment on the conference coming on May 12th.I first learned of this conference by reading Robyn Mcmaster’s blog.I signed upped right away because any thing Liz Strauss is involved in leading gets my attention. The 3 ladies I have just mentioned are all extremely bright and caring people. I author a business blog geared toward ordinary people wanting extraordinary success. Read these blogs. There are many excellent blogs authored by black bloggers and my wish is that as a tribute to inclusion and diversity, my black blogging friends will give these 3 a look. There are some good ideas and excellent post.

Ellen was right on in her responses so I will limit mine to a few. I am going to learn, and to network. It will be great to meet the people I communicate with on line. As I mentioned there are many excellent black bloggers, I hope next year we target many of them to have a diverse showing. That will take this event to a new level and will also enhance the learning.Recently I sent an email to one of my favorite and very successful bloggers, Paula Mooney to see if she was coming to the event. Paula at the time was unaware.

I have recently joined a collalition of blackbloggers, Afro Spear, I have met Esq Francis Holland Esq is a brilliant and compassionate blogger, Latimer Williams is another great voice and black blogger. There are many more.

I am excited about the opportunity to learn from some outstanding bloggers. I have signed upped, paid and I am ready to rock.

Thanks, Jim for several things! For…
    – Stopping by South Side Star again ;-)
    – For adding me to your BlogRoll
    – And for mentioning the conference here in Chicago next weekend!

I’m heading out of town around then for Mom’s Day. But depending on the seminar schedule, I may be able to attend something beneficial before leaving town.

    Best!

Has anyone wondered why Peoples Gas is insisting that they be allowed to enter your home or business to conduct a “federally mandated inspection of our equipment inside customers’ homes and businesses” with a threat of disconnection if not allowed in. The inspector comes in and goes directly to the Meter to (as he told me) freeze the numbers. Why?
