Looking for a big money opportunity? Check This Out!

I have enjoyed the search business. I have come across some incredible companies and opportunities. I speak to many people. Today I spoke with a HR VP that at 7:20 in the morning was full of energy and warmth. We spoke through some serious topics and she listened carefully and showed respect. In today’s business world many people are so rushed, they sound beat down and abrasive, and have little interest in your vantage point. It is all about them. I have found a company that appears to have a great culture and energy. It is the kind of opportunity; I wish I would have been exposed to when I was in the job market. I have been a VP in 3 major companies but would have seriously considered this job as a salesman.
This is a small company with sales of 15 million. They have been in business for 15 years and have 60 employees. As a point of comparison, Abbott Laboratories has sales of over 20 billion, 70,000 employees and have been around over 100 years. I am noticing many times we look down on good opportunities because the company is not big enough, not a house hold name, and dose not offer enough base income. Some job seekers said no to Bill Gates, because he wanted to offer incentive heavy compensation. They may have found the big salary, but now are now left with the proverbial dreams of; “what could have been.”
I have talked to pharmaceutical sales reps looking for another big Pharma company to work for so they would have security. I mention this to the owner of a small company and he retorted, that is why there are 125000 pharmaceutical reps on the street looking for work. There is a shift in the wind and a point to consider, many small businesses will offer more security that the big boys. This is a difficult concept to accept for many. I spoke to a laid off Pharma rep who’s income was in the 80’s. The opportunity I was speaking to her about projected double her income the first year and in year 2 at plan it offered 220K This person had to know her base would be higher. My response was the job is not right for you if your only concern is your salary. If you can earn 220k, what difference what your salary is? In most cases a big salary means little incentive income.
The opportunity I have today is based in Chicago and is for a small company. Interactive Health Solutions motto is “Good Health Is Good Business!” Many companies offer executive physicals for their most valued employees. I had this perk at Abbott. Interactive Health Solutions business model is to provide physicals for all employees. In some of my research on this topic I discovered, 30% of people in the general population of work age will require follow up after a physical. 12% have a previously unknown chronic condition. Interactive’s health solution for identified employees is comprehensive. They explain the employees health status and provide information to improve their health status. It is common knowledge that 10 to 15% of employees accrue 80 % of medical expenses. These same employees are responsible for 70% of lost productivity and Quality problems. Medical cost are expected to double in the next 7 years. The sale is to the insurance provides. The outcome can be win, win and win. The insurance providers has less medical expense, the Corporation medical cost go down and the employee would pay less premium dollars but also enjoy a healthier life.
Make sense, can you sell a concept. If so contact me at jwalton@grnoakpark.com, or call at 773-714-5050. The position of VP Business development, pays 220k at plan and the best are earning between 300 and 400k.
