Black Women, Could new Mr. Right be white?
I came across an article in Sunday’s Sun Times on recent trends in black women dating. It appears some black women are dating outside our race. This is a black in business issue because the women quoted in the article, struggled to meet professional black men. We are just not good enough, if we are God fearing, hard working, drug free and faithful. We have to be professional as well. My father was a good husband for over 50 years to an educated black woman, and he worked in the mines.
There was a time when black women were the property of white men and the date consisted of rape. How comfortable are the holidays with the black family members on her side that have been victimized by racism caused by white men. How about his white family members that may think of their new sister as a nigger, how much fun will they be to celebrate with..
The message for us brothers, is to get ourselves together, many more black women are attending and finishing college and want a professional man. I think some have wanted a whit man all their lives. The article talks about meeting your mate in college. I went to college at the state University in the whitest state in America. I have married twice and both of my wives have been black.
It is true we have more young men in the prison system than in college, and supposedly many more living down low. It has to hard on these young women. I hope this trend is a last resort for black women and a wake up call to brothers that may be wasting their lives so much, that now our beloved sisters are rejecting us for the slave master’s kin. My brother married a white woman, and I have seen this phenomenon up close!

Several of my family members are black,white and native american. As are the majority of the blacks in the US today. Unless they came straight from the “motherland”.
I don’t date a color I date a person of character and depth. Whether they be black, white, native american, latino, asian or “other”.

Marrying ‘foreigners’ is a rising trend is many parts of the world. Every gal is looking out for the very best for themselves, especially when they are college grads, while at the same time the male population in their vicinity do not seem to be interested in making a better life for themselves. This is a wake up call to guys in general everywhere to shape up or lose it out in the ’survival of the fittest’ game.

Blacks have lost their identity a looong time ago and deep down inside they yearn to be accepted by whites, so, whether a black dresses, eats or dates outside the ‘culture’ it’s all the same thing.
Halle Berry getting her sex on in that movie was a white boys timberlake fantasy come true and my compliments go out to the film makers who managed to get the top black music mogul (diddy)and the top rapper (mos def) to appear in one of the most degrading movies i’ve ever seen.
C’mon, this couldn’t happen with Julia Roberts so niggas pleese***

The victim of a rape will sometimes try to proportion some of the blame on themselves and blacks somehow are deep down convincing themselves that slavery was their fault.

Great stuff. In Kenya women are getting on ahead in the business and corporate ladder but all structures favour men leaving women out of important processes. More and more women are marrying white men and orientals to the chagrin of men. I think, they want us to hang around so they can have two, three wives in pretext of reducing numbers. Black women it’s your life so if you meet a Mzungu (white person in Kiswahili) go ahead

I can understand why someone would not be accepting of Halle doing the sex thing with Timberlake. But not because he’s white.
Because she is a beauty and he is a… well, former Britney thing.
I don’t view whites dating blacks as losing an identity; rather, it’s more of gaining acceptance as a human and a person. Black men have been dating and marrying white women for years. Yeah, I remember. The black women complained.
When I first went to college, as an engineer, there was one black woman in all my classes. None of the white women really hung with her - not that there were that many of them at the time - and the white guys mostly were just, well. Mostly they were from the Boston area.
She was my biology lab partner. Smart but very very quiet. She’s been married to a white guy for a long time.
Fast foward a number of years and here I am (in Boston of all places) sharing an office with a black woman. Smart, looked like Tiny Turner but not at all quiet. Everyone talked to her. When we went out as an office group, she was always there. Progress, if you ask me.
Same with dating. If people from different races and cultures and ethnicities are willing to be friends, to date, or to marry, why not?
Why do we always have to segregate ourselves into groups of Catholic, or white, or black, or Jew, or Irish, or Latino, or Chinese?
The country of my parents’ birth, and mine, tried this thing of racial and ethnic “purity” back in the 30’s. I hope we, as humans, have the capacity to move beyond that pile of garbage.
If a black woman wants to date a white guy, so what?

On the topic of third world countries, I saw something common in these places from the show ‘Worlds Apart’, the womenfolk there do a lot of the hard grinding daily work and farming, while the men slack around and go on ‘hunts’ once in a blue moon, it’s quite a shock to see.

#if anyone is really up to having a serious debate on this subject, then lets do it. Lets really talk about it. This is the internet and we’ve got to use it to communicate and try to spread and share knowledge. I mean, if a german cannibal can advertise for someone to eat and actually FIND a volunteer, then we should at least to put some light on this subject.
I just wanna say this: WE black folks understand the complexity of this subject because we live with it each day. No disrespect, but a white person cannot and will never understand it.
From the time a white child steps onto this earth, EVERYTHING OF WORTH IS OWNED BY HIS PEOPLE. EVERY THING. The streets, the buildings, car companies, hospitals etc. C’mon

White boy knows that he will never have a blond haired blue eyed ‘kid’ with a black women. Good sex is only good for so long as your body lets you appreciate it, so what is it about white women that white boy has openly begin to display a dislike for?

Nigg, I have been blogging for 10 months, are you just placed the most profound and compelling statement of the blog. I love it and agree with you, many people including some of our brothers and sisters will disagree and feel we are too redical. Let’s face it, we as black people love white folks and many of our black-white marriages are because on the black end it represents the ultimate acceptance. When I have spoken on this topic in the pass many of the black bloggers having taken me to task on this topic.
This is similar to black folks taking on the hip hop community after Imus got fired. We wanted white acceptance. Your voice is am important one and I am adding you to my blog roll

I really believe that we are in a situation, and it’s one that is getting more and more serious.
Oh, sure we have to enjoy Life etc but we have a responsibility to those unborn future children to lay down some standards, set up some lines and let these people know that our ancestors have NOT and will NEVER be forgotten.
We are allowing Hollywood ( does to adults what Disneyland does to children) to “lull us to sleep” and it’s not up to us to judge anyone but the man in the mirror.
Realise this. Most of those folks who shout about black and white this and that don’t really, really have an appreciation of ther topic or and understanding of the SCIENCE behind it.
I think this should beb examined on the scientific level, we should start getting down like that.
Most Blacks; man, if they saw a sister in a wheelchair, dribbling from the mouth, clothes shabby, hair nappy and the sister is being pushed by a white guy with some thick glasses and walking with a limp…. they would NEVER think, oh, how can she be with a white man!!!
