Mr. Walton is the founder, President and managing Partner of Global Recruiters Oak Park. Previously Mr. Walton has been a part of some of the best sales forces in the United States. He started his career for Xerox Corporation and was a record breaking salesman. His business journey moved on to Abbott Laboratories, Diagnostics Division. Mr. Walton started at Abbott as a Clinical System Specialists, and sold in excess of 2 million dollars in capital blood testing instrumentation per year. He over a 23 year career took positions of increasing responsibilities to include; National Account Manager, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Regional Manager, Senior Recruitment Manager, National Sales Manager. Mr. Walton’s last 2 positions at Abbott were Vice President of World Wide Marketing and Vice President of US Sales. Mr. Walton was part of a Division that grew from 40 million to over 3.5 billion dollars in sales per year. He retired from Abbott in 2005 and since worked as Vice President of Global Sales for Thermo Electron.
Mr Walton is a native of Upstate New York, son of an underground miner and domestic worker. He currently resides in Oak Park, IL with his wife and 3 children. Mr. Walton has served on the board of directors for: Clara Abbott Foundation, Lifelink Charities and The Jesse Jackson for Congress finance committee.He has been a guest lecturer for: the national sales network, national black MBA association, Fisher Scientific, Abbott Laboratories and for many national and international audiences. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont, and completed Northwestern University’s Kellogg school of Management’s Advance Executive Program. Mr. Walton brings a wealth of diversified experience and connections to the world of recruitment.
